This chart shows current wave heights for the UK and surrounding waters. The data is grabbed from the NDBC Buoys every few minutes, the image is then updated every quarter of an hour. You can expect the actual data to be about an hour old. The chart is pretty simple to interpret, colours range from white (flat) to dark blue (huge), the actual spot heights for each buoy are printed on the chart.
